Lear 45XR inventory has increased nearly 40% since January, compared to the relatively stable inventory of the midsize jet category. There are currently 25 45XR’s for sale, which represent 12% of the active fleet. Transactions are well behind last year’s pace. There were three sales during Q2 2020, making only four sales on the year. This is just one third of the transactions that took place during the first half of 2019. In the broader midsize jet category, transactions slowed during April to just eight sales, but have rebounded to a combined 37 transactions during May and June. With inventory levels still elevated and sellers outnumbering buyers, now is a great time to purchase a 45XR.

Just like the broader midsize jet category, inventory levels in the 60XR market are holding steady as we head into the third quarter of 2020. There are currently 16 60XR’s on the market, slightly less than 2019’s average. Current inventory levels represent 14% of the active fleet. Only one aircraft sold during Q2 2020, but the three total transactions in 2020 are on pace with 2019 numbers. With inventory holding steady, yet not much for activity, this market remains balanced for buyers and sellers.

After decreasing during Q1 2020, Lear 75 inventory has risen and transactions slowed during Q2 2020. Lear 75 inventory is currently at eight listings, up from six during Q1 2020, and well above the four listings during Q1 2019. Current inventory levels represent six percent of the active fleet. Transactions are off to a slow start in 2020, just one sale through the first half of the year. However, looking back to 2019, there was only one sale as well during Q1 and Q2 2019. With continued slow demand and elevated inventory, now is a great time to purchase a 75.
