After a drop in Q1 and Q2, the Gulfstream G200 retail transactions have rebounded slightly for Q3. Five aircraft sold in Q3, which is one more than a year ago. Q3 averaged 26 Gulfstream G200 aircraft for sale, which represents 11% of the active fleet. The number available for sale has decreased slightly in Q3, but is still higher than Q1. Only 19% of the available aircraft sold in the third quarter. After holding steady for three quarters, pricing took a moderate drop in Q3. With ample supply, and softening pricing, this is a good time to purchase a G200.
The Gulfstream G280 retail transactions are up slightly when compared to last quarter. Although only one aircraft sold in Q3, there were no retail sales in Q2. Q3 averaged 15 Gulfstream G280 aircraft for sale, which is up slightly from Q1, and represents 8% of the active fleet. Only 7% of the available inventory sold last quarter. The number available for sale is unchanged from Q2, and is the most that have ever been offered for sale in this market. Pricing continues to fall after leveling off earlier in the year. The lack of activity in transactions and rapidly increasing inventories indicate opportunities for buyers.
