Falcon 50EX, Falcon 900EX, Falcon 900EX EASy, Falcon 7X
The Falcon 50EX market is one of the few that has not seen a significant increase of units for sale. In fact, the number available for sale has only fluctuated by two units for nearly two years. Two aircraft sold in Q3, which is the same as last quarter, but down two units from Q1. Q3 averaged 13 aircraft listed for sale, which represents 13% of the active fleet. Pricing has declined for both Q2 and Q3. This is a good time to purchase a Falcon 50EX, as there is plentiful supply, and pricing is still favorable.
The Falcon 900EX retail transactions have been lackluster throughout 2020. After an amazing 11 retail transactions in Q4, 2019, there have been only three sales in the first three quarters of 2020, with two coming in Q3. Q3 averaged eight 900EX aircraft for sale, which represents 7% of the active fleet. The number available for sale has only fluctuated by one unit for the past eight quarters. 25% of the available aircraft sold in the third quarter. Pricing continues to remain steady, as it has remained unchanged for the past six quarters. This would be a good time to buy or sell a 900EX, with stable pricing, good availability, and at least some activity.
The Falcon 900EX EASy retail transactions for Q3 were the most in well over a year. Four aircraft sold in Q3, which is two more than a year ago. Q3 averaged 12 900EX EASy aircraft for sale, which represents 10% of the active fleet, and is more than double the amount that were for sale a year ago. 33% of the available aircraft sold in the third quarter. After holding steady for the past five quarters, pricing took a moderate drop in Q3. Good product availability and softening pricing provide good opportunities for the 900EX EASy buyer.
The Falcon 7X quarterly retail transactions have remained steady at three units for all of 2020. Three aircraft sold in Q3, which isthe same as a year ago. Q3 averaged 20 7X aircraft for sale, which represents 7% of the active fleet. The number available for sale increased from Q4, 2019, but has remained relatively steady in 2020. Pricing had dropped in both Q2 and Q3. As with the 900EX EASy, pricing and product availability provide good buying opportunities.
