Phenom 100, Phenom 300
After six consecutive quarters of decreasing inventory, the Phenom 100 market took a sharp turn with numerous aircraft hitting the market during the fourth quarter of 2018. Currently, there are 20 Phenom 100’s for sale. This is up from just 12 aircraft for sale during the third quarter of 2018. 6.8% of the active fleet is listed for sale, which is the highest we’ve seen in this market since Q4 2017. Transactions improved in Q4 2018, adding five sales to bring 2018 totals to 29 sales. The first half of 2018 produced 20 transactions, while there were only nine transactions in Q3 and Q4 combined. Pricing remains relatively strong, although values took a slight decline in the fourth quarter. Those potential Phenom 100 buyers who were struggling to find US-based options during 2018 may have gotten their wish granted as we head into the first quarter of 2019.
Another strong quarter for the Phenom 300 market resulted in nine additional transactions, bringing the total number of sales to 25 for 2018. This number surpasses 2017’s total of 22 transactions. Inventory increased slightly in the 4th quarter and now 14 Phenom 300’s are currently for sale. This still represents just 3.1% of the active fleet. After pricing increased during 2018, values have remained level with the help of strong demand. With more transactions during the past two quarters than the entire year prior, this market is red hot and remains an excellent environment for sellers.
