Hawker 800XP, Hawker 850XP, Hawker 900XP
Hawker 800XP activity is picking up and inventory is trending down as we head into the second half of 2019. There are currently 53 800XP’s on the market, down from 55 last quarter. If we look back to a year ago, things are up slightly compared to the 50 listings during Q2 2018. Activity has now increased for three consecutive quarters. After 10 800XP’s sold during Q1 2019, the second quarter of 2019 brought 14 sales. These 24 sales YTD are well behind last year’s pace of 36 sales, but things seem to be heading in the right direction. With activity picking up, yet plenty of listings at attractive prices, this market provides good opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
Hawker 850XP inventory drastically increased and activity slowed during the second quarter of 2019. Currently there are 19 850XP’s on the market, up sharply from just 11 last quarter. Looking back to Q2 2018, 13 aircraft were available. With only 99 850XP’s flying today, nearly one of every five aircraft is now for sale. Activity has also slowed. Only one sale in the second quarter, making just three total on the year. Looking back to 2018, 11 had sold YTD. With a huge selection and sellers continuing to drop prices, now is the best time to purchase an 850XP in recent years.
The 900XP market remains active as we head into the third quarter of 2019. 10 900XP’s sold during the second quarter of 2019, adding to nine that sold during Q1 2019. We are well ahead of last year where only seven aircraft had sold by this time. Currently there are 16 listings, which is down from the first quarter but slightly higher than a year ago. 8.3% of the active fleet is for sale. Values remained steady throughout the first half of 2019, after sinking at the end of 2018. With inventory holding steady and demand as strong as ever, this market provides an excellent opportunity for sellers.
