Hawker 800XP, Hawker 850XP, Hawker 900XP
Transactions rebounded after a slow fourth quarter, but Hawker 800XP inventory is at the highest level we’ve seen in two years. There were 10 sales during the first quarter of 2019, which is twice the number of transactions produced in Q4 2018. Although sales picked up, inventory climbed to 55 aircraft for sale. Currently, 13% of the active fleet is for sale. Of those 800XP’s listed for sale, 17 are equipped with Proline 21 avionics. After dropping substantially in the second quarter of 2018, pricing has held steady now for three consecutive quarters. With attractive pricing and inventory continuing to rise, the 800XP market remains a buyer’s paradise.
Not much has changed in the 850XP market since our first quarter reports. Currently, there are 11 aircraft for sale, similar to Q4 2018. Transactions picked up and produced two sales in the first quarter, one better than Q4 2018. If we look back to a year ago, inventory is down slightly from the 13 listings during Q1 2018. Current listings represent 11% of the active fleet. Pricing has held steady for three consecutive quarters. With numerous quality US-based options, and pricing holding steady, this market remains balanced for both buyers and sellers.
The Hawker 900XP market is up and running as we head into the second quarter of 2019. There have been nine transactions so far this year, well ahead of last years pace of just two sales YTD. Coming off a big fourth quarter, the first quarter of 2019 remained active with multiple buyers looking for quality 900XP options. Inventory bumped up slightly and is currently at 17 listings. This represents 9% of the active fleet. Overall, retail values have dropped, but this could be due to multiple foreign sales during the past two quarters. US-based 900XP’s are bringing prices as strong as we’ve seen in the past year. With high demand and plenty of options, the 900XP market remains an excellent opportunity for both buyers and sellers.
