Hawker 800XP, Hawker 850XP, Hawker 900XP
The Hawker 800XP market remains active and seems to be picking up steam. Inventory is down comparably to Q1 of 2017, with transactions up 36%. There are currently 45 aircraft for sale, compared to 51 in Q1 of 2017. There were 19 transactions in Q1 of 2018, up from 14 that sold in Q1 of 2017. Pricing dropped slightly this quarter, after remaining flat for most of 2017. 11% of the fleet is currently on the market, which can provide a wide variety of options for prospective buyers. However, with inventory historically low and increasing demand, this active market can provide an excellent opportunity to sell a Hawker 800XP.
Hawker 850XP inventory has remained steady over the past year, and transactions are up compared to Q1 of 2017. There are currently 13 available aircraft, compared to 12 in Q1 of 2017. Currently, 14% of the active fleet is on the market. There were 3 transactions in Q1 of 2018, compared to none in Q1 of 2017. Transactions in Q1 of 2018 are trending down from where we were in the second half of 2017, so it will be interesting to see what the remainder of 2018 brings. Pricing had remained flat for most of 2017 but took a slight dip in the first quarter of 2018. This market remains steady for both buyers and sellers.
Hawker 900XP inventory dropped sharply in Q1 of 2018, after a big 4th quarter of 2017 resulted in 8 transactions. There are currently 15 Hawker 900XP aircraft for sale, compared to 18 that were on the marked in Q1 of 2017. There is currently 8% of the active fleet on the market. Transactions are down compared to a year ago, with just 2 aircraft selling in Q1 2018, compared to 7 sales in Q1 of 2017. Pricing is relatively flat in the first quarter of 2018, continuing the stabilizing trend since the large drop in 2016. As inventories recover from the large number of transactions in Q4 of 2017, buyers are anxiously waiting for the right airplane to hit the market.
