The overall Challenger 300 retail sales activity has increased in the first half of 2017. With the increase in transactions we are seeing a reduction in the amount of Challenger 300 aircraft for sale and a noticeable drop in the average days on market. Aircraft markets do cycle up and down. The Challenger 300 market is going up with increased buyer interest. Prices are continuing to decline but not as much as other comparable jets. The demand rating for the Challenger 300 is a B+.

The inventory levels for the Challenger 604 have dropped slightly since the first of the year. The second quarter did see an increase in retail transactions over the first quarter and a slight reduction in the days on market. This increase is a positive sign for the Challenger 604 market. If the current transaction trend continues the retail sales activity for 2017 will have a good improvement over last year. The demand rating for the Challenger 604 is a C+.

Similar to the Challenger 604, the Challenger 605 retail transactions have picked up over the last few quarters. With the increase in sales we have seen a slight decrease in inventory levels. Much of this activity is probably triggered by owners’ acceptance of the drop in value of their aircraft. Still this jump in sales activity is good news just like the Challenger 604. The demand rating for the Challenger 605 is a B.
